Mark graduated from the University of Wiwatersrand South Africa in 1981. Mark’s first foray in to the currency markets was as an importer, borne through his company’s business in the footwear industry. His immediate recognition of the inherent potential associated with currency exchange transactions opened his door to the world of currency trading. Aside from the trading portfolio which he managed, Mark has been teaching students to trade since 1997 when online currency trading was first introduced to the retail market. Since then he has trained students throughout Canada and Europe demonstrating his basic approach to succeeding in the business. Mark is also an advisor for a large foreign exchange boutique in Toronto, advising international companies with ongoing currency exchange exposure.

Mark’s students enjoy his relaxed and simplistic teaching style. His knowledge in this industry is a result of his business experience as opposed to textbook theory. He is a realist who sees the market for what it is. “Currencies reflect the personalities of their respective countries. We must understand the underlying fundamentals that create this personality and then learn how to translate this in to the business of currency trading.”
