General Extended Learning Track (XLT) Program Frequently Asked Questions
1. What is WEBEX?
Webex is an online, interactive, multimedia environment where XLT student meet for real-time learning.
2. How do I log-in?
You will receive a periodic e-mail that will provide both the link and the password to the online trading center located in Webex. Select the class session for that day and time. Next, enter your name, email address and password and click join. For technical assistance, contact Gregg Lumpkin via phone at 949-608-6045 or
3. Do I need to install special software or hardware?
You must have a fairly new computer, along with a high speed Internet connection, such as cable or DSL. The first time you click the link to the correct session it will take you to an install page. This will only happen on the first time you log-in. Just follow the on-screen instruction and within 1-2 minutes, you will be in the session.
Some important Webex Links:
4. Once I am in the session, what can I expect?
The Webex session is a full-blown Multimedia environment. You will hear the presenter’s voice, and will also see a real-time video feed of the presenter’s actual computer screen. You will see the instructor’s presentation materials, charts, and execution platform.
5. Will I be able to ask questions or participate?
Most questions are typed in for the presenter and others to see; while some questions can be verbalized. In order to verbalize questions, we recommend a headset with a microphone which is relatively inexpensive and available at any electronics store.
It is a true interactive experience, although we must follow some basic classroom rules, just so that the environment remains orderly. (A Room Guideline document will be included with the sign-up package).
6. Will there be live trading demonstrations?
Yes. While the program seeks to promote an environment that is centered upon a high level of correlative trading education, live trades are necessary to demonstrate the aspect of trading.
7. Do I need to have an open trading account?
Ideally, yes, although it is not required to participate in the program.
8. How will former students of the on-site classes benefit from the XLT program?
They will see what they learned in the on-site class applied to live market situations. Since they have been introduced to the concepts before, they will likely be the fastest to learn as well.
9. Will the XLT program really teach me how to trade and improve my trading?
Yes! In more ways than you can imagine.
10. Will there be recorded sessions?
Yes, the sessions are recorded. The previous 5 sessions are made available for viewing at your convenience in case you were unable to attend the live session or needed to reinforce what you initially learned.
Click here for the XLT session Webex page! Just click on “recorded sessions” on the left navigation menu, select the session and enter your password.
11. How does the free Lifetime Retake option work?
For XLT students who have purchased and paid in full for the Lifetime Retake option: Once you have completed your original 3 month course, you will have the opportunity to retake the course for as long as the course is offered based on schedule, availability and instructor as posted on the Online Trading Academy website. Contact your Education Counselor to upgrade to the Lifetime Retake option.

Testimonials

"... without XLT I would have never been a trader and incurred substantial losses. Now I am profitable."
George A., July 2008
"This program will help you get to the profitable side."
Phillip Leacock, July 2008
"Thanks much, Rob, for all you've put into making this a really great learning experience. You must have put 100's of hours into creating this. We have absolutely gotten our money's worth and far more! I'm not sure about others, but I paid for lifetime participation. While it hasn't yet, it will be paid off in spades from what I've learned and am learning. Have you ever thought about writing a book on this? You have such a wealth of practical, experienced-sharpened knowledge that it's a shame that more people don't have the opportunity to learn. On the other hand, they could just join XLT-Momentum Intraday Trading!"
Don M., May 2008

"Thank you Online Trading Academy for offering this remarkable mentoring program. The course totally exceeded all of my expectations – it’s worth every penny. Rob McNabb’s comprehensive and systematic approach to trading, as well as his laid-back style of teaching, makes learning thoroughly enjoyable and entertaining. You cannot get this level and quality of instruction from a book, CD or weekend seminar. This is the real deal. Watching an experienced, professional trader navigate the market on a daily basis is by far the most effective method of learning this business. Rob’s instruction has vastly improved my trading – even after just the first few sessions. It would have taken years of hap-hazard trading on my own to figure out what I’ve learned through mentoring in such a short time. I highly recommend this course to anyone considering trading for a living. It’s by far the best investment I’ve made in trading education. Thanks again Online Trading Academy for providing such high quality programs."
